Threat to Tanzania wildlife after change in park admission rules

Tanzania National Parks (TANAPA) recently announced that 24-hour permits to national parks would no longer allow multiple entries, forcing visitors who wish to visit community-based wildlife management areas (WMA) on the fringes of these parks, to pay multiple fees. Fearing the change will stop tourists from visiting WMAs, which provides much needed income to communities, some local groups have threatened to poison wildlife in protest. Read more: eturbonews.com
