The metropolitan government of Seoul has announced it will upgrade Wi-Fi services on the city’s subway system.
At present, passengers can access free Wi-Fi through wireless broadband, and there have been numerous complaints that connectivity becomes slow and difficult to use during busy periods. The city plans to upgrade the system to free high-speed Wi-Fi by 2017; subway lines 4 and 8 will be the first installations. The city has also mulled installing relay devices in stations to boost Wi-Fi signals over longer distances. Read more: koreaherald.com
