Fans of American sitcom, The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, may relish the opportunity to stay at the iconic crib from the show. Airbnb is offering two Los Angeles county residents from the same household the chance to book one of five nostalgic stays in star Will Smith’s wing of the mansion.
It's 30 years since Will first rolled up the driveway and knocked on the door of this iconic LA crib for the very first time. The star played a fictionalized version of himself, namely a street-smart teenager from Philadelphia who gets into a fight in his hometown, and is sent to live with his wealthy uncle Phil and aunt Vivian at their Bel Air mansion.
To celebrate the memories, life lessons and laughs that have lasted decades, Airbnb will permit two people to stay for one night each in Will’s wing of the mansion for only $30 (€25.22) per night. They will have access to his bedroom and bathroom, a poolside lounge area and dining room. Bold graffiti art, posh interiors, timeless family portraits and Philly cheesesteaks served on silver platters will transport guests to the lap of luxury.
The guests will be virtually welcomed to the mansion by DJ Jazzy Jeff, and will be permitted to spin throwback classics on the house's turntables and shoot some basketball in the bedroom. They can wear clothes from Will’s closet during the stay, and soak up the sun poolside. DJ Jazzy Jeff will also host an Airbnb Online Experience on 1 October in which guests will get to spend some virtual time with him in his home studio.
The mansion will be cleaned between stays in accordance with CDC rules and consistent with the Airbnb enhanced cleaning protocol. The dates that are available to be booked for stays include 2, 5, 8, 11 and 14 October. You can request to book from 29 September at 11am PDT here.
