Once again, the world's busiest airport is Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, seeing the most passengers (104 million) travel through in 2017, according to the Airports Council International (ACI).
While it may seem like an unlikely candidate to beat out airports in cities like Shanghai, London or New York, Atlanta serves as a massive hub for US and international travellers. According to the ACI, "with almost 104 million passengers, the airport is within a two-hour flight of 80% of the United States’ population."
