Makrygialos Beach

Ierapetra

The fine yellow-sand beach in the Analipsi township at the eastern end of Makrygialos stretches for about 1km and is one of the best on the southeastern coast. It's deluged with holidaymakers and locals in July and August, but the beachside promenade is cheerful and there are plenty of cafes and eating places. It's about 26km east of Ierapetra.
