Wittumspalais

This handsome neoclassical palace was home to the Duchess Anna Amalia from 1774, after the residential palace (today the Schlossmuseum) burned. Visitors proceed through a series of handsome rooms graced by period furniture and paintings and culminating in the fresco-ceilinged ballroom and the Green Salon, the living room of the Duchess.
