Museumscenter Hanstholm

Hanstholm was a strategic player in the German occupation of Denmark and this impressive museum is based around a German bunker. Hitler used this as part of his ‘Atlantic Wall’ system, a series of fortifications that spread from Kirkenes in Norway to the Pyrenees. Along with the bunker you can visit the Documentation Centre, which outlines this period in more detail and provides an insight into the way of life for locals under Hitler’s rule.
