About Zanny Merullo
I'm a lifelong traveler who's obsessed with overcoming linguistic and cultural barriers to make connections with people around the world. Although I'm originally from New England, I lived in Italy as a teen and moved solo to Cambodia at age 20--I still consider all these places home. I've been writing about my travels since 2014, and my work has appeared in Adventure.com, Roadbook, OutThere, Scuba Diving Magazine, and other publications, earning me two travel writing award nominations. Based on my experience of being disabled due to chronic illness, I often seek out accessible travel stories and those that highlight travel's potential as a force for good. I'm currently based in Colorado and write full-time.
