About Sophia
Sophia Piña-McMahon is a freelance writer and photographer who specializes in travel, environment, and food-related stories. She has spent the majority of her years bouncing along the west coast of the U.S., from the forests and lakes of Washington state to the beaches and rolling hills of California's central coast. Her travels have taken her everywhere from the rainforests of Australia to banana farms in Thailand, the canals of Amsterdam, trails along the Italian coast, and more. And her favorite stories from abroad always involve kind strangers and an insanely good meal.
Sophia now resides at the gateway to the Rockies, in Colorado's Front Range, and when she isn't writing, you can find her running, biking, or hiking on the nearest trail.
