About Neil
Neil has been a full-time freelance travel writer since 1988, working on more than 90 guidebooks for various publishers, including the Lonely Planet guides to Scotland and Edinburgh. He lived in Edinburgh for 30 years before moving to Perthshire and is still a frequent visitor to the capital, visiting old haunts and seeking out new restaurants, bars and cafes.
