About Mara
I am a Midwesterner by birth and a New Englander by choice, but my favorite place in the world is the destination of my last trip. At the moment, that's the enticing multicultural island of St Martin; but ask me again at another time, and it might be Costa Rica, Finland or Russia - some of the many countries I have written about the fallen in love with. My favorite travel companions are my 13-year-old twins, who have been adventuring with me since birth.
